A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in Portage County for the 14-year-old boy accused of supplying the drugs that killed another 14-year-old.

NewsChannel 7 is not releasing the name of the suspect until a final decision has been made on whether to charge him as an adult.

That is expected to happen after the preliminary hearing, which is set for November 16.

The suspect is currently being charged as an adult.

The criminal complaint says he broke into his mother's lock box and took her prescription Vicodin and morphine pills.

Authorities say the suspect then offered them to Tyler Trelka, who reportedly took at least nine pills while drinking alcohol, at a party nearly two weeks ago.

Police say later that night, Trelka returned to his aunt's house in Stevens Point, where he was pronounced dead the next morning.
