Fall Colors Boost Tourism

Updated: Thu 10:49 AM, Oct 03, 2002

Before the leaves start falling, most of us will tour the sea of color that is starting to fill the Northwoods. But we will not be alone.

The state is working hard to attract thousands of tourists and cash in on the fall beauty.

With outdoor activities and hospitality available, the state hopes to bring in $2.7 billion during this autumn season alone.

The state Department of Tourism is also handing out a free fall tourism guide. To get one you can call 1-800-432-8747 or visit their Web site at ww.travelwisconsin.com.
