It's something the Wisconsin State Fair is known for: cream puffs.
People flock there to get them.
But it turns out you can also get cream puffs at the Central Wisconsin State Fair in Marshfield.
When you walk down the food court at the Central Wisconsin State fair, one stand catches your eye.
The Sweet Adelines' cream puff stand.
Besides the usual vanilla cream puff, they also sell cranberry cream puffs.
They came up with the idea before heading to a cranberry festival.
"That is our biggest seller of anything we do and we thought we're going to the cranberry capital of the state, we will make cranberry cream puffs," Gladys Fuller, a Sweet Adeline said.
Many people are a bit apprehensive before trying the new variety because they think it will be too tart.
But that's where the Sweet Adelines come in.
"I'll say gee, it takes like strawberry shortcake and they say oh well, maybe i'll try it," Fuller said.
The question is how do they taste? Well I had to find out for myself. The answer: 2 thumbs up.
"I've tasted quite a few different cream puffs and these are more superior than anybody I've tasted," Gail Hartle, a Sweet Adeline said.
"What do you think? Very good. I'm glad I tried it."
The Adeline's expect to sell nearly 1400 cream puffs during the fair.
All the money raised from the cream puffs goes to getting the Adelines' music and costumes for their four-part barbershop chorus.
The fair runs through Monday.
