The King is dead, but long live his favorite roller coaster.
The city of Green Bay bought parts of the famous Zippin Pippin ride from a closed Memphis, TN amusement park. The parts will be combined with new ones to create a new ride at Bay Beach.
It's legend that the Zippin Pippin was Elvis Presley's favorite ride.
Groundbreaking for the new roller coaster was done on Wednesday. Bay Beach plans to hold a grand opening next May.
The original opened in 1912 and was 70 feet tall at its highest point.
