The staff at the Central Wisconsin Airport are relieved to finally receive the shipment of runway paint they've been waiting for.
An explosion at a plant earlier this year caused a national paint shortage for highway departments and airports.
CWA staff say there are only a few companies in the country that can produce this special paint, which is important for landing safety.
"It increases their visibility because along with the paint, there's glass beads in it for reflecting light off of that for them to see a lot better," says CWA director of Ops and Maintenance, James Olson.
Olson says airports have to re-paint their lines every year to meet FAA regulations. They usually paint as soon after winter as possible, for safety reasons.
