The search continues for missing teenager Kayla Berg. Wednesday marked the one year anniversary of her disappearance.
Antigo Police and Langlade County Sheriff's investigators continue to follow up on leads, but so far there is no word on where she may be.
On the anniversary of her disappearance, family and friends came together for a candlelight vigil at an Antigo Park. They're not giving up hope of finding Kayla.
"It's been horrifying," says Kayla's mom Hope Sprenger. "Lots of sleepless nights, lots of tears, lots of prayers."
"I just wanted to do a vigil to keep her in everyone's mind."
Authorities say a year ago, then 15 year-old Kayla was driven from Antigo to Wausau by Kevin Kielcheski. She hasn't been seen since.
The 24 year-old Kielcheski is charged with second degree reckless endangerment in her disappearance.
Kayla has brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5'2" tall and weighs about 110 lbs.
For now, family members hold on to their memories of Kayla.
"She was always very peppy and energetic," says Ardis Speanbauer, Kayla's grandmother. "And I just miss the fact that she isn't coming over and saying 'hi grandma'."
If you have any information call the Langlade County Sheriff's Department at 715-627-6411.
