It's the largest gathering of trappers in the world and one of the largest conventions ever held in Marshfield.
Organizers expect about 5,000 people to attend the event throughout the weekend.
There are educational seminars and demonstrations from expert trappers and there are more than 150 vendors are on site selling trapping supplies, outdoor products and sporting goods.
"We're certain that this will be one of the best in recent history, just because of the location, the community and the sportsman's involvement in the area", says National Trappers Association President, Craig Kaatz.
The convention runs through Sunday, August 8th at the Marshfield Fairgrounds and it is open to the public.
