WAUTOMA, Wis. (AP) -- A Berlin man has been sentenced to ten years in prison for a fatal drunken driving crash.
Prosecutors say at 4:15 am on September 4th, deputies responded to the report of a crash on State Highway 21 and County Highway XX in Aurora. A car was found in a cornfield but the other vehicle involved in the crash was gone. A passenger of the car, Devin Klein, 17, died at the scene. Two other people were treated for injuries.
Authorities say Max Winkel had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit for driving at the time of the crash.
