UPDATE: Victim in Rhinelander Fatal Fire ID'ed

The Rhinelander Fire Department has released the name of a man who died in a fire Wednesday morning.

Crews were called to the 200 block of Maple Street around 11 am on Dec. 5 for the report of structure fire.

Robert Fischer became trapped in the home and died at the scene. His wife, Esther was able to get out and was transported to the hospital. She has since been released.

A cause has not been determined, but investigators have ruled out foul play.

Maple Street was closed for a few hours following the fire, but has since reopened.
