Speed is believed to be a factor in single-vehicle crash that killed a 21-year-old Mosinee man.
A Lieutenant with the Marathon County Sheriff's Department says a group of hunters reported the crash around 4:45 am Saturday morning. Investigators believe the driver, Derek Roosa, lost control of the vehicle sometime between 2:40 am and 4:45 am and crashed into several trees. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened on Sugar Bush Road near Badger Road in the Town of Emmet, south of Highway 153 and west of Mosinee.
The crash is still under investigation.
