PORTAGE, Wis. (AP) -- A 17-year-old who went missing from a campground in Columbia County has been found dead.

County Sheriff Dennis Richards says Thomas Biggs, of Beloit, was last seen between 4 and 5 p.m. Friday near the family's trailer at Blackhawk Park near Portage.

Richards says a dive team found Biggs in 13 to 15 feet of water in a pond at about 2 p.m. Sunday, not far from the trailer where the family had been celebrating the holiday.

The sheriff says it appears the teen drowned but an autopsy on Monday or Tuesday will provide more details. Richards says the family indicated that he could swim.
