On the 7th of every month, we bring you life-saving information about cancer during our Healthcheck 7 reports. It's part of NewsChannel 7's partnership with the American Cancer Society.
October is breast cancer awareness month.
A local entrepreneur is making organic body products right here in Wisconsin. The health care products are dedicated to building the awareness of breast cancer.
Pink Ribbon Naturals cleanses your skin as well as educates women on the proper methods for an exam.
"The awareness and education factor is not just one month out of 12. Our goal really is to get as much information in the market in the hands of women so they can actually make a difference so they can do their own self examination and make a difference in detecting breast cancer before it becomes this big problem," said Soap Maker Bill Dunn.
Among other locations, Pink Ribbons Naturals can be found at Trig's and County Market in Wausau.
The personal care products are also sold in 25 stores around Wisconsin.
The proceeds are donated to breast cancer research.
