The movie Public Enemies, which premieres Wednesday is renewing interest in a northwoods resort where John Dillinger was involved in a shootout with the FBI.
Legend also has it, he and his gangster friends left $200,000 hidden somewhere up there as they ran from authorities.
The former owner of the Little Bohemia Resort told NewsChannel 7 in 1998 that people still came to the area to look for the money after the shootout in the 1930s.
He sold it four years ago, but the new owners have left bullet holes and other remnants from the shootout at the resort.
