Key Numbers Related to the Governor's Race, Legislative Control

UNDATED (AP) -- Key numbers related to Gov. Jim Doyle's victory over Republican Mark Green and races in the state Legislature:
VICTORY MARGIN: Doyle 53 percent, Green 45 percent, Wisconsin Green Party candidate Nelson Eisman 2 percent.
SENATE: Democrats pick up four seats, now control it 18-15.
ASSEMBLY: Republicans lose six seats, but retain control 53-46.
WHAT'S NEXT: With no transition in the governor's office, Doyle will have the luxury of focusing on his legislative agenda and budget proposal to be introduced early next year.
DOYLE'S AGENDA: The governor's plans for the next four years include:
-- Implementing broader insurance coverage for at-risk children.
-- Expanding the state's long-term care plan for senior citizens called FamilyCare.
-- Ensuring that K-12 schools continue to receive two-thirds of funding from the state needed to operate, requiring all high school students take at least three years of math and science, expanding 4-year-old kindergarten, and working to keep down class sizes.
-- Increasing financial aid for higher education and making tuition tax deductible.
-- Eliminating taxes on health insurance premiums and child care.
-- Passing ethics reform legislation.
