WSAW NewsChannel 7 is now broadcasting in 100% digital ONLY ... the older analog signal is no longer being broadcast. If you are a cable or satellite subscriber, you do not need to worry, the change is handled for you. For those of you that watch NewsChannel 7 over the airwaves, you will need to re-scan your digital TV or converter box to locate new digital signal. You've seen the commercials, probably over and over again. All high-powered T.V. stations will switch over to digital broadcasts next February.

If you already have cable TV or satellite service, you don't have to change a thing. If you use an old fashioned antenna and your TV is more than a couple years old, you'll probably need to buy a converter box, which a coupon will help pay for.

In part one of this two-part series, we show you how area television retailers fared.
