The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department says a 19-year-old man involved in a motorcycle crash in the Town of Corning has died from his injuries.

Deputies say the man was riding on private property on a road crossing a field when he lost control and crashed the bike Thursday morning.

Authorities say he was not wearing a helmet at the time.

The man was airlifted to Aspirus Wausau Hospital where he died Thursday evening.

The victim's name will be released this afternoon.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
