FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- Prosecutors in Fond du Lac County say a man facing drug charges could soon have an added charge of setting up a cockfighting operation.

But the district attorney's office is waiting to see what happens at the 24-year-old man's preliminary hearing in the drug case in Circuit Court before deciding whether to add the new charge.

The criminal investigation unit in the state Justice Department connected the man to running the cockfighting operation.

In the drug case, he's accused of selling cocaine to an undercover state agent.

The preliminary hearing in that case is Friday.
