BARABOO, Wis. (AP) -- A man was hospitalized with facial injuries after being assaulted on the Frisbee disc golf course of the University of Wisconsin-Baraboo/Sauk County.

Officials say the victim and assailant were not enrolled at the university, and the two had had prior contact.

Police Lieutenant Rob Sinden says it wasn't a random act, but a "targeted act from one individual toward one individual." In other words, Sinden says that -- quote -- "People don't have to be afraid to go play Frisbee golf."

The name of the victim, a 20-year-old Reedsburg man, wasn't released.

The incident remains under investigation, with no charges filed as yet.
