Margaret Florence Allred Scoresby was born Feb. 14, 1953 in Provo, Utah and died in her home on Aug. 7, 2014. Her parents are Emily C. and Forrest Rich Allred. She grew up in Springville, Utah; Greeley, Colorado; and Bellingham, Washington. She graduated from Bellingham High School, following which she attended Brigham Young University. She graduated with a BA degree, followed by an MLS degree.

On Sept. 13, 1978, Margaret was married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple to Joseph Rene Scoresby. They are the parents of six children: Joseph (Tracy), Ben (Shannon), Emily (Preston) Franzen, Joanna (Ben) Joslin, Sarah (Brian) Wood, and Janet (Jacob) Sanders; and grandparents to Afton, Macey, Lauren, Logan, Sadie, Tanner, Andrew, Russell, Camille, Holly, Brooke, Alexa, Owen and Meghan, who brought her great joy.

Margaret was an active member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints and served in many capacities in the church including as a missionary for the Church in the New York Rochester Mission. Margaret enjoyed sewing and crafting, reading, cooking, family history and traveling.

Margaret is survived by her husband; J. Rene Scoresby of Kronenwetter, her six children; 13 grandchildren; her mother, Emily Allred of Aberdeen, SD; and eight siblings.

She was preceded in death by her father; Forrest Allred and one grandson; Logan Scoresby.

Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Latter-Day Saints at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014, 5405 Rib Mountain Dr, Wausau, WI 54401. Bishop Steven DeMille will officiate. Burial will take place in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

Brainard Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
