Brett Richard Grieser, 43, of Wausau, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Aspirus Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

Brett was born on May 2, 1971 to Robert and Patricia. As a child Brett loved to play soccer and carried that with him into his adult years where he continued to play and also coached youth soccer. Brett worked very hard, with his mom by his side, Brett earned his Eagle Scout Award. He was an avid Packer’s fan, a baseball “statistician”/fan, enjoyed his time as a first responder at Greenheck, and loved to cook. He was a member of the Elk’s Lodge #248, earned an Associates of Sociology Degree, and a “master’s degree” in people skills. He was loved by many and always had a smile on his face.

Brett is survived by his parents; his dad, Robert (JoAnn) Grieser and his mom, Patricia (Joe) Calderaro; children, Samuel, Rylie and Isabella Grieser, all of Wausau; sister, Carrie (Perry) Wagner, Green Bay; step-sisters, Tracy (Craig) Lange, Wausau and Aimee (Todd) White, Jackson, NJ; and his nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Brainard Funeral Home-Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Rev. Al Slowiak will officiate.

Brett’s family would like to thank his extended family at Culver’s for everything they have done for Brett.

Brainard Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
