Elaine E. Steidinger, 85, Schofield, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Elaine was born April 30, 1928 in Rib Falls, WI to the late Lawrence and Freida (Hohndorf) Heise. She attended Hillside School and Marathon High School. On April 14, 1951 she married Arthur A. Steidinger in the Town of Rib Falls. He preceded her in death November 11, 2007.

Some of Elaine’s special interests and hobbies included gardening, canning, scrapbooking and walking the dog in the woods. She had a great love for all animals. Elaine was employed as the accountant for her husband’s business, Steidinger Bulldozing.

Survivors include: a brother, Charles Heise and his family Dr. Chuck (Heather) Heise and their children Grace and Ben, and Jamie Heise; a brother Ron Heise and his family Randy and his children Bronson and Brock and Julie (Brian) Anderson and their children Katherine and her daughter Kaitlin; Deborah (Mike) Stencil and their children Julie, Evan, Scarlett and Jack and Joel (Angie) Anderson and their children Brian, Oliver and Rene Lynn; a sister Mattie (Norman) Burgoyne and their children Brian (Angie) Burgoyne and their children Melissa and Megan and daughters Cindy and her daughter Leigh, Wanda (Joe) Heinzen and their children Tylor and Travis. She is further survived by a sister-in-law Dorothea Steidinger Woller and her son Reese and brother-in-law Arnold (Carol) Steidinger and daughter Kim.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, a niece Lisa Heise and brother-in-law Lloyd Woller.

Funeral service will be Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Brainard Funeral Home – Everest Chapel; 5712 Memorial Court; Weston. Rev. Wes Jedras will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 9, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Monday, March 10 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Wausau.
