Robert J. Welker Jr., 47, Schofield, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston.
He was born on February 12, 1967 in Milwaukee, the son of the late Robert J. Welker Sr. and Carol (Zak) Welker of Eland.
Robert was united in marriage to Colleen Davis on February 15, 2014 in Las Vegas. She survives.
He was employed at Graphic Packaging, Wausau, as a machine operator since 2002. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and archery competitions with his daughters. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen; mother, Carol Welker, Eland; three children, Samantha Welker, FL, Crystal and Brittany Welker, Schofield; step-children, Haydn Davis, Menomonie, Michaela Davis, Marshfield, Daniel Davis and Benjamin Davis, Schofield; one grandson, Kenterrio Trevon Riordan; three sisters, Lori (Conrad) Thomas, Wausau, Charmain (Tim) Christensen, Ringle and Amy Welker, Waukesha; mother-in-law, Sharon Lang, Humbird, WI and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood. Dr. Robin Wilde will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
