Sheila Ann Zahn, 64, of Wausau, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
She was born Feb. 12, 1949 to the late LeRoy and Wanda (Kaminski) Zahn in Wausau. She graduated from Newman High School in Wausau and went on to the UW Oshkosh where she graduated with her BA Degree.
Sheila was diagnosed with a debilitating illness and for over 20 years was a residence of Mount View Care Center. During that time she wrote many letters to family and friends. In spite of her illness she was thankful for the “small things in life.” The last few weeks of her stay she was under hospice care.
She is survived by her nephew, Phil (Bonnie Brzezinski) Roth, Wausau; aunt, Mae White, Rothschild; sister in-law, Ann (Larry) Roth, Park Falls and their daughter Treene Roth, Phoenix, AZ; and many other extended family and close friends.
Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at the Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau. Rev. Allan Slowiak will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the family for a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
