Gloria J. Olson, 70, Aniwa, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Langlade Hospital, Antigo.
She was born on April 29, 1943 in Antigo, the daughter of the late Harry and Evelyn (Suprise) Spaulding.
On August 26, 1961, Gloria was united in marriage to Donald Olson. He survives.
Gloria was a member of the United Methodist Church of Mattoon and its ladies aid. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America. She would like to be remembered for her love for the elderly; her love for her family and friends; her love for her grandchildren and especially for her love for the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Olson, Sr. Aniwa; four children, Don Olson, Jr., Aniwa, Scott Olson, Aniwa, Melissa (Paul) Schmidt, Wausau and Sabrina (Josh) Peterson, Aniwa; two grandchildren, Makayla (David Moon) Olson, Wausau and Baylee Peterson, Aniwa; four brothers, Eddie (Elaine) Spaulding, Mattoon, Harry (Sandy) Spaulding, PA, Bobby Spaulding, TX and Donnie (Marilyn) Spaulding, Wisconsin Rapids; two brothers-in-law, Wally (Cheryl) Olson, Merrill and Roger Olson, Birnamwood and two sisters-in-law, Delores (Art) Holbrook, Antigo and JoAnn Olson, Birnamwood. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by a daughter, Kari, in infancy; sister-in-law, Shirley Brown and brothers-in-law, Richard Olson, Sr. and Roy Brown.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood. Rev. Myron “Myke” Christensen will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Aniwa. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10am until the time of services at the funeral home. The family guestbook and condolences are available at
