Gerald Lorin Schumacher, 42, of Wausau died Friday, May 10, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Jerry was born October 4, 1970 in Wausau to Nancy (Woldt) Schumacher and the late Gerald Edward Schumacher. Jerry met Marcia Evanson in 2006 and they were married August 18, 2007 in Cadott, WI. Jerry worked for Wausau Paper at the Brokaw Mill for eleven years until the mill closed in 2012. He loved the Packers, boating , fishing, playing pool but most of all the time spent with his family.
Jerry will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia, three children, Alicia Nichole, Abigail Maureen, Nicholas Grahm, his mother, Nancy Schumacher of Schofield, sister, Tammy Stencil of DuBay, mother-in-law, Barbara Evanson of Cadott, brother-in-law, Mark (Jennifer) Evanson of Cadott, sisters-in-law, Kathleen Buttke of Boyd, Rebecca (Randy) Younkins of Omaha, NE, Linda (Corey) Adams of Cadott, many friends, relatives, nieces, nephews and co-workers. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Gerald, father-in-law, Lewis Evanson, brothers-in-law, Jeff Stencil and Dale Buttke, uncle and godfather, Edward Roberts, uncles, Rodney Zuelke and Gary Habeck, aunt, Carole Ruesh, cousins, Jodene Zuelke and Wendy Woldt and friend, Butch Stahnke.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at First English Lutheran Church, 402 N. 3rd Ave., Wausau. Reverend Erik Olson will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
