Agnes K. Prelipp, age 88, Birnamwood, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.
She was born on July 5, 1924 in Aniwa, the daughter of the late Edward and Katherine (Eckardt) Hable. On July 8, 1944, Agnes was united in marriage to Frank Prelipp in Birnamwood. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1989.
Agnes was a homemaker and was a fabulous cook and baker, known well for her pies and dumplings. She enjoyed flower gardening, camping and snowmobiling. Agnes was a member of Alanon and held many group meetings throughout the years. She was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Birnamwood and it's Ladies Aid, serving as secretary for many years. Most important to Agnes was the time she spent with her family.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Vickie) Prelipp and Kathy (Dennis) VanProoyen, both of Birnamwood and Linda (Steven) Guensburg of Weston; nine grandchildren, Steven (Annie) Prelipp, Christina (James) Ray, Ronnda (Scott) Teuchert, Teejay Prelipp, Kevin (Sonja) Prelipp, Tammy (Dan) Thiele, Sue (Bob Hannawell) VanProoyen, Lisa (Aaron) Buchberger and Matthew Guensburg; 16 Great Grandchildren, Hannah, Cali, CeCe and Shani Prelipp, Raven and Jada Collins, Preston and Bryce Teuchert, Ryan VanProoyen, Shane Hix and Nicholas Thiele, Brianna (Joshua) Beran, Aimee and Jordan Buchberger, Gage Smith and Carson Guensburg, two great great-grandchildren, Koleton Beran and Carson Shebelski; sister, Alice Farrell and special friend Irma Hable.
In addition to her husband and parents, Agnes was preceded in death by a son, James; two brothers, Jake and Frank Hable and a sister, Lorraine Korbisch.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Birnamwood. Rev. Dean Bertsch will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am Wednesday, until the time of service, at the church. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home is assisting that family with arrangements.
