Christine Nancy Brandt (Jakubek) passed away March 21, 2013 at her home in Wittenberg, WI. She was born August 3, 1949 the daughter of the late Raymond and Virginia (Gilmeister) Jakubek in Tigerton, WI.
She married David Brandt September 1, 1984 at Saint Marys Catholic Church in Wausau, WI. He survives. Christine graduated from Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School, then worked at Hatley Veneer, followed by Greenheck for over 20 years. She reminisced about all the great times she had with her fellow employees.
Christine enjoyed her time working in her garden and watching her flowers bloom, doing crossword puzzles, her dogs and mostly time with her family.
She is survived by her husband David Brandt of Wittenberg, WI; her son Matthew Brandt (Felicia) of Tigerton, WI; her daughter Samantha (Matthew) Coxen of Co. Springs, CO; 3 brothers, Ronald (Flora) Jakubek, Gerald Jakubek, David (Patty) Jakubek, 3 sisters, Marlene VanLieshout, Geraldine (Floyd) Wurz, Sandra (Steven) Klinner; grandson Devin Coxen; Many nieces, nephews and friends. We will all miss her laugh very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Virginia Jakubek, a baby sister, Kathleen, and a nephew Colin Klinner.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 27 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Parish, 8846 County Road C, Wittenberg (Galloway). Fr. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. until the time of service. Christine will be cremated as she requested and have her ashes for viewing.
