Jean L. Letarski, 74, Hatley, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born on October 20, 1938 in Birnamwood, the daughter of the late Byron and Emma (Anderson) Hawkins.
On September 13, 1958, Jean was united in marriage to Norbert Letarski in Pine City, MN. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2012.
Jean was employed at the former Employer’s Insurance Company in Wausau for a number of years. She then chose to be a housewife and help on the family farm. Jean enjoyed baking, listening to Sunday polkas, crocheting and puzzles. She was a sports fan and loved watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers, but most of all, she enjoyed her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Ray) Ingman, Hatley and Julie (Lyle) Garton, Ringle; six grandchildren, Scott (Rachel) Kline, Stacy (Derek) Wolfe, Austin Boruch, Justin Ingman, Josh (Jennifer) Ingman and Heather Ingman; three great-grandchildren, Mason and Morgan Wolfe and Wesley Kline; one sister, Lois (Len) Wetzel, Shawano and one sister-in-law, Irene Budleski, Hatley. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann.
The Memorial Mass will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. Fr. Roy Witucki will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9am until the time of services at the church. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements.
