Leona ‘Susie’ Resch, 61, Birnamwood, died Friday, February 8, 2013 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Antigo.
She was born on November 21, 1951 in Racine, the daughter of the late Noe and May (Sauter) Ayotte.
On October 8, 1994, Susie was united in marriage to Thomas Resch in Aniwa. He survives.
Susie was an avid writer and also enjoyed reading, listening to music and treasure hunting. She especially loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and other family members.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Resch, Birnamwood; five sisters, Patricia (Tim) Atkinson, Racine, Jacki (Jim) Cariolano, Spooner, Robin Ayotte, Antigo, Candice (Duane) Behn, Aniwa and Lori (Keith) Rickert, Fairfax; two brothers, Jim (Sharon) Ayotte, Racine and David Ayotte, White Lake; and a sister-in-law, Sarah Ayotte, Deerbrook. She is also survived by Tom’s brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by two sisters, Sherry White and Carol Jean Ayotte and two brothers, Mike and Steven.
The Memorial Mass will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. Rev. Anthony Ibekwe will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:30am until the time of services at the church. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood is assisting the family with arrangements.
