Elaine Leone Helbock, age 83, formerly of Clinton, died on Tuesday Jan. 22, 2013 with family and friends by her side at North Central Health Care where she has lived since 2009. Elaine was born July 29, 1929 to the late William and Ida (Schmidt) Meyer in Lincoln County. She married Leon Helbock Aug. 19, 1968 in Rhinelander. Elaine enjoyed knitting, doing crafts, fishing, walking on the beach and spending time with her family. Survivors include her son, Brian (Maria) Goff of Hollywood, FL; four daughters, Sheryl Catterall of Loves Park, IL, Sandy Roman of Clinton, Patricia Schelble of Thousand Palms, CA, and Terri (Cory) Vrolijk of Wausau; eight grandchildren, Charles Catterall, Nicole Catterall, Bruce Roman Jr., William Roman, Jessica Baudhuin, Joy Rasmussen, Nate Vrolijk and Alex Vrolijk as well as twelve great grandchildren and a great great grandson. She is also survived by one sister, Harriet Lang, of Gleason. She was also preceded in death by her husband Leon; a daughter, Cathy; and a son, Neil. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at the Brianard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St. Wausau. Rev. Dr. Jeff Hinds will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be at the Union Grove Cemetery in Harshaw on Monday.
