Gerald G. Hallisch, 69, Clintonville, formerly of Bowler, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at his home. He was born on February 27, 1943 in Milwaukee, the son of the late George and Ruth (Baermann) Hallisch. On April 23, 1971, Gerald was united in marriage to Candice Butler in Waukegan, IL. She preceded him in death on September 22, 1991. Gerald was a United States Navy Veteran, serving from 1961 to 1965. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Gerald also enjoyed playing cribbage. Survivors include two children, Elizabeth (John) Stonelake, Weston and Matthew (Kristina) Hallisch, Clintonville; three grandchildren, Treasure (Cody) Bergmann, Nathan Hallisch and Natalie Hallisch; two great-grandchildren, Aydan and Wyatt Bergmann; three siblings, Ruth (Raymond) Gildemeister, Richard (Diane) Hallisch and Kathleen (Rudy) Bonkowski. A graveside service will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, January 26, 2012 at Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood with military rites conducted by the Darling-Gunderson American Legion Post # 341, Birnamwood.
