John Bray, 85, Birnamwood, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg under the care of LeRoyer Hospice, Antigo.
He was born on December 19, 1927 in Vulcan, Michigan, the son of the late Jacob and Anna Bray.
John worked as a construction foreman on deep tunnel projects which included the water and sewer system in Milwaukee County. He was a member of the Laborers Union #113 for over 50 years. John was a faithful catholic and was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include four children; Christine (Steve) McClelland, Union Grove, Debbie (Richard) Nowakowski, Oak Creek, Kevin (Julie) Bray, Birnamwood and Todd (Julie) Bray, Birnamwood. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2pm on Friday, December 21, 2012 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. Fr. Omer Kelley and Fr. Anthony Ibekwe will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Norrie. Visitation will be on Friday from 10am until the time of services at the church.
