Maybelle M. Plisch, 94, Birnamwood, died on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at the Homme Home of Wittenberg. She was born on July 25, 1918 in Bowdle, South Dakota, the daughter of the late Edwin and Clara (Pischer) Anthony. In 1941, Maybelle was united in marriage to Theodore Lemke. Theodore died in 1943 while serving his country in the military. She then married Everett Plisch in 1945 in Mattoon. He preceded her in death on November 28, 2003. Everett and Maybelle owned a farm in the Township of Hutchins for many years. She was an active and faithful member of the Mattoon Church of the Nazarene. Maybelle is survived by three children, Ted (Fran) Lemke, Potomac, Illinois, Joan (Bob) Hill, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Roger (Karen) Plisch, Birnamwood; four grandchildren, Eric (Tammy) Lemke, Brent (Susan) Lemke, Brian Plisch and Debby (Tom) Webb; seven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Linda Hill, Birnamwood and several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, December 7, 2012, at the Mattoon Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Mark Quinn will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4PM to 7PM at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood, and again on Friday from 10AM until the time of service at the church.
