Debra "Bookie" Baumann, 59, Wittenberg, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 12, 1953, the daughter of the late Leonard Pagryzinski and Barbara (Pozorski) Pagryzinski, Wittenberg. Debra was a loving and devoted wife to her husband and best friend, Terry "T Bone" Baumann. She had a zest for life and a true commitment to living every day to the fullest. Kindness and seeing the good in everyone made anyone who met her feel they had been touched by a trusted friend. Debbie was devoted to her family. She was in the center of all family activities. She gave her heart to all, unselfishly and without hesitation. Captain of the now infamous "Chicken Runs" she made sure everyone had a place in the countless family adventures. Deb loved to laugh and with her mother and sister at her side, that occurred often. Dedicated to her nieces, she was their second mom and on call to be the voice of caring when needed. Debbie worked at the Grand Avenue Dairy Queen, Wausau and was known for her special loving touches to her famous personalized cakes. Her passions were many and included her animals, NASCAR and watching movies and television show marathons. She loved celebrating the holidays with her family and enjoyed shopping, her plants, riding their Harley, camping and visiting a casino or two. Deb just loved life. Survivors include her husband, Terry Baumann; her mother, Barbara (Ken Bricko) Pagryzinski; one brother, Wayne (Sue) Pagryzinski, Wausau; one sister, Kaye (Matthew) Skonieczny, Denver, CO; two sons, Tim (Vicky) Baumann, Wausau and Glen (Andrea) Baumann, Antigo; three grandchildren, Ry, Skyler and Erica; her mother-in-law, Edith Baumann, Wausau; one sister-in-law, Nancy (Jerry) Becker, Wausau; her nieces, Crystal (Matthew) Simanek, Amber Unverzagt, Rebecca Unverzagt and Tonia Pagryzinski and her nephew, Harlee Pagryzinski. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. In addition to her father, Debra was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Baumann; her grandparents, Nick and Louise Pozorski; aunt and uncle, Leonard and Beverly Wanta; cousin, Mark Wanta and father-in-law, Calvin Baumann. A Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg from 10am until 12noon. Burial will take place in St. Florian Catholic Cemetery, Hatley.
