Nancy C. Damrow, 75, Schofield, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at her home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services and her family. Nancy was born August 6, 1937 in Wausau to the late Edward and Alma (Klabunde) Nimz. Nancy was the youngest of fourteen children.
Prior to her retirement she worked out of her home as a Customer Service Representative/Secretary for Schwarz, in Chicago. Nancy worked at Younkers for over 20 years. She also worked at St. Clare’s Hospital as a Greeter and Inventory Control.
Survivors include her sons, David (Ann) Damrow and Randy (Janet) Damrow, owners of Goal-Line Golf and Hockey in Schofield; her four grandchildren, Davis, Alaina, Cade and Hendrix; and her sister, Ruth Draeger.
She was also preceded in death by her seven sisters, Vivian, Lillian and Isabell Nimz (all passing away at a very young age) and Arlene Meyers, Alice Cherney, Doris Redetzke and Jean Otto; and five brothers, Wilbur, Lynn, Fred, Henry and Elmer Nimz.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 12, 2012 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 512 McClellan St., Wausau. Rev. Gray Froseth will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. The Brainard Funeral Home, Wausau is assisting the family with the arrangements.
