June A. Bruger, 91, Birnamwood, died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at her home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born on June 6, 1921 in the Town of Plover, the daughter of the late Peter and Clara (Marks) Wincentsen.
On November 18, 1939 June was united in marriage to Edwin Kautza in Wausau. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1976, she then married Harold Bruger on May 20, 1977 in Aniwa. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1996.
June farmed in the town of Plover for many years. She also worked as a clerk and meat cutter at the Kautza IGA, Aniwa. June was a member of Living Faith Fellowship. She enjoyed quilting, bird watching, reading, traveling and fishing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children; Charles (Audrey) Kautza, Birnamwood, Susan (Charles) Bricko, Aniwa, Connie (Tom) Sippl, Birnamwood, Linda (Dan) Owen, Louise Sturm, both of Helena, MT and Sally (Matt) Korbisch, Wittenberg; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great granddaughters and two sisters-in-law, Violet Wincentsen and Eva Osswald. June is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, special friends; Jan Jones, Sharon Matz and Carolyn Pfefferly and her cat, Tinker.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter Margaret Ann in infancy; four brothers, Ralph, Norman, Earl and Russell and eight sisters; Lilly, Violet, Earsie, Gladys, Adeline, Pearl, Charlotte and Doris.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood. Rev. Les Munnik will officiate.
