Steven A. Shest, 61, Wittenberg, died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at his home under the care of Unity Hospice Services, Appleton. He was born on July 9, 1951 in Sheboygan, the son of the late Anton Shest and Frances (Speigel) Shest, Tigerton. Steve drove truck for many years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to the casino, fishing and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends. In addition to his mother, Frances Shest, Tigerton, Steve is survived by his fiance, Karla Grulkowski, Wittenberg, two sisters, Noreen (Steve) Hintz, Appleton and Nancy (Bill) Kurtz, Hammond, Montana, two brothers; Mark (Mary Seidel) Shest, Neenah and Michael (Judy Swanson) Shest, Weston, two stepsons; Benji (Kelly) Grulkowski, Stevens Point and Alan (Becki) Grulkowski, Sheboygan Falls and his grandchildren; Victoria Butkus, Tony Butkus, Kaila Grulkowski and Carter Butkus. Steven is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Rev. Matthew Uttenreither will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9am until the time of services at the funeral home.
