Funeral Home: Brainard

Florence Lucille Will, 92, passed away Tuesday September 4, 2012. She was born July 10, 1920 in Wausau, the daughter of the late Martha (Zielisch) Gutowski and Frank Gutowski. She married George Franklin Raymond Will on August 24, 1940 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Wausau. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1991.
Florence was a lifelong member of St. Stephen’s. She enjoyed being involved at church and as a young lady taught Sunday school. After she met and married George, she worked as a book keeper and secretary for the business they started, Will Heating and Cooling. They owned and operated the business for 35 years before retiring. She then worked with her friends at the Record Herald.
Florence kept busy, had many hobbies, and loved to dance. She enjoyed dancing the polka, especially when she attended weddings. Over the years she did a lot of cooking, canning, sewing, upholstery, crocheting, traveling, gardening and fishing in Canada.
Florence and George purchased a cabin near Antigo which gave her family much enjoyment. There are endless memories of time spent with the family and extended family at the lake.
As Florence grew older she became a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished her time spent with all her grandchildren and had special projects and activities for the children when they came to visit. She will always have a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren.
Florence made friends easily. Her bright blue eyes and smile would brighten the day of anyone she came in contact with.
She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Alan (Penny) Will and Jeffrey (Rhonda) Will, both of Wausau; two daughters, Bonnie (Larry) Kammholz, Oshkosh, and Sandra (James) Oleniczak, Green Bay; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Anne; a sister (Lorraine) Nick VanProoyen; and a brother Franklin (Lucille) Gutowski.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 512 McClellan St. Wausau. Rev. Gary Froseth will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Wausau.
