Geraldine L. Cline, 85, of Wausau, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012, at
Aspirus Hospice House. She was born to the late Edward and Gladys (Simmet)
Rickman in Antigo on April 21, 1927. Geraldine was a graduate of Antigo

enjoyed Elvis’ music and movies. In addition to these things, Geraldine
will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Her family was important, and that was reflected in the family camping trips
that were planned for the past 25 years at Lake Laura, near Conover. The
large family gatherings that occurred created memories for years of times
spent together. Geraldine liked to be outside and would fish and deer hunt
as well. Geraldine would also pass the time shopping and browsing. She
always enjoyed looking around a store.
She is survived by her children, Donald Cline of Wausau, Larry (Jeanne)
Cline of Wausau, and Sue (Tom) Rahn of Schofield; grandchildren, Amy, Sara,
Sonia, Penny, Rebecca, Rachel, and Jason; great-grandchildren, Noah, Skye,
and Taylor; her best friend and daughter-in-law, Jeanne Cline; and many
nieces and nephews.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, in 1991, Vinard; parents;
brother, Raymond; twin sister, Bernadette; sisters, Mary Bauers, Jean Hayes,
Donna Swanson, Joanne Machmiller; and granddaughter, Laura.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at
Zion Lutheran Church, 709 Sixth St., Wausau, with the Rev. Ted Gulhaugen
officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, and again
