Wayne E. Komosa, 60, Shawano, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services Hospice House, Wausau. He was born September 16, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Mary Ann (Dietz) Komosa and the late Edward Komosa. Wayne loved listening to baseball, riding his bike, walking to town and sitting by the lake. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, classic movies, hot rods, going to the Shawano stock car races and anything with trucks. Wayne is survived by his mother; Mary Ann Komosa, Wausau, siblings; Therese Komosa, Downers Grove, IL, Gary (Jennifer Borne Komosa) Komosa, Crystal Lake, IL, Kristine (Larry) Kaderavek, Tomahawk, Edward J. Komosa, Jr., Wittenberg, Phillip Komosa, Wausau, David (Renee) Komosa, Crystal Lake, IL, John Komosa, Eagle River, AK, Jeannette King and Rose (Bruce) Krueger, both of Wausau, 19 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his father, Wayne was preceded in death by a nephew; Travis John Komosa. There will be a memorial visitation on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 4pm to 7pm at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Private interment will take place in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Wittenberg. The family guest book and condolences are available at schmidtschulta.com. Wayne was a faithful Christian man - a loving man with a gentle soul that was taken home from us way too soon. Wayne will remain truly loved and dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. In memory of Wayne, donations can be made to the Shawano County Department of Community Programs to the CSP program or Aspirus Hospice House. A special 'Thank You' to the staff and volunteers at the Aspirus Hospice House, the Shawano Department of Community Programs - CSP Team and The Southern Care Hospice Group.
