Viola E. Tomson-Cebula, 82, formerly of Hatley, died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.
She was born on May 12, 1930 in Hatley, the daughter of the late Justin and Emma (Esker) Tomson.
She was united in marriage to Alex Cebula in Hatley. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1980.
Viola enjoyed taking walks, watching the birds and dancing. She was an avid collector and had collections of many things. Viola loved to flower garden and enjoyed showing people her beautiful flowers.
Survivors include four children, Cliff (Connie Sandvig) Cebula, Thomas (Jackie) Cebula, Dennis (Christine) Cebula, all of Hatley and Linda (Jim) Knaup, Wittenberg; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild; five sisters, Rosemary Malchowski, Hatley, Eleanor Wodora, Ringle, Barbara Corazalla, Birnamwood, Marie Nievinski, Elderon and Diane Budleski, Wausau and two brothers, Donald Tomson, Hatley and David (Patricia) Tomson, Birnamwood. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents and husband, Viola was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Sharon Cebula.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. Fr. Roy Witucki will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9am until the time of services at the church. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements.
