Lyman G. O'Neill, 84, formerly of Aniwa, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Wausau Manor under the care of AseraCare Hospice.
He was born on November 26, 1927 in Antigo, the son of the late George and Ella (Damitz) O'Neill.
Lyman was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
On February 18, 1950, he was united in marriage to Fern Chrudimsky at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Aniwa. She survives.
Lyman worked as a welding inspector at the former J.I. Case for many years. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Antigo. Lyman enjoyed traveling and traveled to 48 states, Canada and Mexico. He also enjoyed fishing, making firewood, riding his tractor, taking walks and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Fern O'Neill, Wausau; four children, Darlene (Mark) Capes, Neillsville, Jerome (Roxann) O'Neill, Kaukauna, James (Mary) O'Neill, Aniwa and William (Carol) O'Neill, Aniwa; one daughter-in-law, Chris O'Neill, Two Rivers; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren and siblings, Chester (Lynda) O'Neill, Crescent City, CA and Eloise (Don) Shaddick, Winter Haven, FL.
In addition to his parents, Lyman was preceded in death by one son, Patrick O'Neill and one sister, Joyce Halbesleben.
