August J. Fischer, III, 40, Wittenberg, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 18, 2012 in Wittenberg. He was born October 3, 1971 in Clintonville, the son of August J., II and Marjorie (Wegener) Fischer of Clintonville. He graduated from Tigerton High School in 1990.
On October 10, 1992, Augie was united in marriage to Julie Richter at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Galloway. She survives.
Augie enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and was an avid turkey and deer hunter.
Survivors include his wife; Julie Fischer, two daughters; Haley and Kelsie, both at home, parents; August J., II and Marjorie Fischer, four sisters; Wendy Spatz and Vicky (Felipe Romero) Fischer, both of Clintonville, Melanie Singleton, Marion and Candi (Stephan) Denotter, Tigerton, mother-in-law; Susan Richter, Wittenberg, two sisters-in-law; Patty (Bob) Dillman, Wittenberg and Amy (Jerry) Ochs, Mosinee and many nieces and nephews.
Augie was preceded in death by his father-in-law; Randy Richter.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:30pm on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Private family services will be held following the visitation. Rev. Amy Meyer will officiate.
Interment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Split Rock.
