Dolores M. Colburn, 80, Wittenberg, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg under the care of Asera Care Hospice.
She was born on February 15, 1932 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Grant and Evelyn (Sloan) McFarlin.
In November, 1948, Dolores was united in marriage to Richard Colburn. He preceded her in death in 1957. On September 8, 1958, Dolores was united in marriage to Leroy "Roy" Colburn in Milwaukee. He survives.
Dolores and Roy owned and operated the former Colburn's Blue Spruce Tavern in Wittenberg for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing the gambling machines, traveling, playing cards, camping and gardening. Dolores was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Colburn, Wittenberg; one son, William Colburn, Wittenberg; two daughters, Patricia Colburn, Wittenberg and Janice Dirckx, Bonduel; four grandchildren, Grant Martin, Roy Martin, Luci (Ken) Kallin and Katie Klapste; seven great-grandchildren and three sisters, Lorraine Bergren, RoseMary (Norm) Brooks and Joyce (Neil) Kent. Dolores is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by Bob and Grant.
The Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg Chapel. Rev. Karen Zutz-Rendall will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10am until the time of the service at the chapel. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements.
