Deborah J. Skorie-Grant, 53, Gresham, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012 with her children and family by her side, at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee. She was born March 13, 1959 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Della (Murphy) Grant, Mattoon and the late Clinton Grant Sr. On September 11, 1976, Deborah was united in marriage to Gerald Skorie Sr. in Mattoon. Deborah enjoyed shooting pool, reading, crafts and going to the Crandon races. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Della, survivors include two children, Gerald Skorie Jr., Mattoon, Jamilee (Jasson Heinrich) Skorie, Birnamwood; two grandsons, Houston and Montana Paul; special family member, Shania Gardner; siblings, Frederick (Charlene) Grant, Shawano, Jennie (Alfred) Gallert, Oak Creek, Randolph (Billie) Grant, Birnamwood, Ray (Alice) Grant, South Milwaukee and Clinton Jr. (Maria) Grant, Milwaukee; one sister-in-law, Kathy Grant, Shawano and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her father, Deborah was preceded in death by one brother, Clayton Grant. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30AM, Saturday, May 12, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church, Mattoon. Rev. Dean Bertsch will officiate. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Mattoon. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church.
