Circle of Friends Hit the Slopes - Rib Mountain

The Circle of Friends joined former Wisconsin Badger and NFL player Jerry Wunsch for a day of fun at Granite Peak.

The pediatric cancer patients travel from as far away as Tampa, Florida to take part in activities like skiing, snowmobiling and tubing.

It is a bittersweet time for Wunsch, who is the President of Circle of Friends. He also accompanies sick children from his hometown of Wausau.

He says the children always love the experience.

"When you are listening through the eyes of children, you realize what a wonderful place it is. People take it for granted. You still know your neighbor. People watch out for one another," says Wunsch.

The group will take part in activities until Saturday evening. Many will depart to their hometowns Sunday morning.
