Updated: 11/10/2013 - Veterans Day is Monday and as we pause to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country, we also remember the families they left behind. At a ceremony Sunday ten local families were presented with a very special token in honor and remembrance of their loved ones.
Updated: 10/27/2013 - The U.S. Census Bureau estimates more than 40 million children across the United States went trick-or-treating in 2012. According to Esquire Magazine, 67% of those kids admit they'll eat too much candy. But don't worry parents, there is hope. If you want to celebrate with your kids minus all the sugar, the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum in Stevens Point has just the thing.
Updated: 10/18/2013 - A chilly wet day in North Central Wisconsin makes many of us grateful for the roof over our head. But some people in out community aren't as lucky. That's why last year Wausau opened the very first community warming shelter at St. Paul's Community Center downtown. Now the shelter is preparing to open its doors again, this time at a brand new location.
Updated: 10/18/2013 - It's a trip of a lifetime for our nation's heroes. On Monday more than 90 local vets will take off on the 14th mission of The Never Forgotten Honor Flight. While the trip is free to veterans, guardians do have to pay for the honor of escorting them. But thanks to one Merrill business, a local vet and his guardian will both take the trip for free.
Posted: 09/13/2013 - Wisconsin's largest northern motorcycle rally is underway in the Northwoods. Day two of the 32nd Annual Fall Ride kicked off early this morning and by the looks of it, we could see a record turnout.
Updated: 08/10/2013 - It's the stuff we usually read about in the history books, but Saturday visitors to the Little Bull Falls LogJam in Mosinee were invited to re-live history as more than one hundred historical re-enactors filled the grounds demonstrating what life was like for early Wisconsin settlers.
