Get ready to see some messes piled up on Wausau street curbs, over the next 2 weeks, that's because it's the city's annual "Large Item Pickup".
Department of Public Works crews are going house to house, picking up items like old couches, water heaters, lawn mowers, and dining room tables.
It's all items that people no longer have a use for, but are too large to throw away for a weekly garbage pickup.
Crews are not picking up any bags of trash, appliances or electronics.
"If they have trash out there and it's just bag after bag of trash, or newspapers, or magazines or garbage, just general garbage...that will still be there after we go by. They'll have to wait until trash day", said Wausau Street Superintendent, Don Skare.
The pick-up goes from Monday, April 25th through May 6th. City workers will tackle one neighborhood at a time.
