MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin park officials are preparing to launch their summer Family Play Days program.
Seventeen state parks will offer nature-based activities on Sunday or throughout the summer on scheduled weekends. A complete schedule is available on the Department of Natural Resources website.
Activities will include art, scavenger hunts, fishing, animal tracking and geocaching.
The play days are part of the DNR's "Get Outdoors! Wisconsin" promotion, which is designed to encourage children to put down their computers and video games and head outside.
