Big cities aren't the only ones being swept away into the magical world of the circus, small towns are joining in on the fun.
The Shrine Circus made a stop here in Wausau Saturday and Sunday.
For the first time in Wisconsin, the show brought along a few big white tigers.
Before the acts started kids got to ride an elephant and horse. They also had the opportunity to take a picture with a snake.
However, when the lights went down, the excitement began. The audience watched in amazement while a gymnast performed an aerial act, hanging by her feet and her head.
I'm inspired by the people that come and watch the show everyday with their mouths hanging wide open. For me it can seem kind of normal to see and elephant stand on its head, but I remember everyday people being blown away by what they're seeing," said Nina Carden.
The Shrine Circus makes its next stop in Waupaca on Monday and West Bend on Tuesday.
